Thinsulex Thermal multi foil insulation

THINSULEX™ is a thin, flexible reflective insulation used with other insulation materials to achieve the U-value requirements of new and existing pitch roofs.

THINSULEX™ boosts the thermal value of glass wool and slashes the installation time for PUR. It rolls out simply to stop air leakage instantly whilst maximising the gain of the radiant heat in the surrounding air. Thinsulex stops moisture contaminating the insulation and saves on internal room space.

THINSULEX™ is the only multi-foil certified by BBA and approved by LABC.

 

How THINSULEX™ works

Thinsulex™ is a multi-foil insulation material

  • 1 Outer layers of metallised polypropylene film
  • 2 Five inner layers of polyester wadding interleaved with
  • 3 Four reflective aluminised films. The outer layers and the internal films are welded along both edges of the product. Prevents heat losses by : radiation : conduction : convection

    Thinsulex™ is not permeable to water vapour, and gives additional benefits as a vapour control layer.

    Unlike some other multi-foil products, Thinsulex™ is not perforated by stitching and so can contribute to the building airtightness.
