Consist of Class0 fire resistant, high performance, sound absorbing acoustic foam each side of our mineral loaded polymeric soundproofing barrier matting.
This composite is specifically designed to reduce noise from enclosed areas where a high degree
of soundproofing is required combined with fire resistance to class0. This materials should be applied with
the thin layer of acoustic foam fixed to the substrate and the thicker layer of foam facing the noise source.
These laminates can reduce the sound within an enclosure by 15-25dB.
Sound Reduction Index on 12mm Plywood Rw 27dB
Sound Reduction Index on 0.7mm Steel Rw 30dB
25mm Class0 foam / soundproofing mat / 6mm class0 foam
Can also be supplied (subject to minimum orders) with a self adhesive backing.
Can also be supplied (subject to minimum orders) with an aluminium foil facing.
2FT45 (Part Code A180) or 2FT80 (Part Code A190) is a soundproofing composite made up of the polymer-based, asphalt-free 8.0kg/m² synthetic acoustic membrane bonded both sides with a 10mm layer of porous acoustic felt
mats, both formed in such a way as to offer excellent acoustic insulation in different building elements: walls, ceilings, roofs, etc.
PROPERTIES
High acoustic insulation, combined with soft, flexible elements (plasterboard, wood conglomerate).
Easy handling and application. (does not make you itch !)
Easy overlapping.
Cold- and heat-resistance.
Self-extinguishing.
Excellent ageing resistance.
Rotproof

USES
Soundproofing of horizontal (ceilings) and vertical enclosures, where excellent soundproofing against airborne noise is required.
Specially recommended between block or partition cavity walls.
Can be used between joists as a higher performance alternative to our acoustic quilt.
Soundproofing against airborne noise in flat roofs.
Can be fixed against a wall with framework pushed against it for improved isolation and noise reduction.
For further information see examples in systems sheets.
FT 75 is a soundproofing composite made up of the polymer-based, asphalt-free 7.5kg/m² synthetic acoustic membrane bonded one side with a 10mm layer of porous acoustic felt
mats, both formed in such a way as to offer excellent acoustic insulation in different building elements: walls, ceilings, roofs, etc.

USES
Soundproofing of horizontal (ceilings) and vertical enclosures, where excellent soundproofing against airborne noise is required.
Specially recommended in partition walls.
Soundproofing against airborne noise in ceilings.
Reduction of impact noise level in all types of floors, applied underneath the flooring.
Can be fixed over frameworks before the plasterboard sheets are attached for improved isolation and sound blocking.
Can be fixed against a wall with framework pushed against it for improved isolation and noise reduction.
For further information see examples in systems sheets.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Installation of the membrane: Prior to installation of the membrane on the substrate, STAPUT Adhesive must be applied to both the substrate and the complex,
allowing it to dry tacky before applying the composite. Align the 2FT complex on the substrate, and install.
Laps: Overlap 5 cm both vertically and horizontally. Care must be taken to always seal the laps correctly, either with adhesive or tape, as
small openings can considerably reduce the level of acoustic insulation required.
SUPPORT
2FT lends itself to all types of normal building substrates. The substrate must be even, clean and dry, and preferably rendered. If the
rendering is old, its condition must be checked to avoid adherence problems of 2FT to the rendering.
RW 53dB INTERNAL PARTITION SOLUTION 1
Interior partition comprising a 50mm central stud frame, acoustic mineral wool infill, FT 40 composite fixed to one face with 2 layers of 12.5mm plasterboard
fixed either side of the frame.
The system below was tested with the lighter 4kg/m² composite. Performance would be improved by around 3dB using the 7.5kg/m² material.
1. 2 layers of 12.5mm plasterboard.
2. Neoprene isolation tape around perimeter.
3. FT 40 or FT 75 (felt side against plasterboard).
4. 50mm thick 60kg/m³ acoustic mineral wool.
5. Flooring.
(All perimeters finished with acoustic sealant).
