    AcoustiBoard-F is designed to provide excellent acoustic sound insulation with ease of installation. No need for separate isolation layers and T&G chipboard. The product is a laminate of 5mm IsoScreed bonded to the bottom of 18mm P5 moisture resistant tongue and grooved chipboard.

    AcoustiBoard-F meets the Robust Details for Floating Floor Treatment 5, for constructions E-FC-1, E-FC-2 and E-FS-1.

    AcoustiBoard-F also complies with Part E Regulations as an overlay solution for a refurbished timber floor.

    Incorporating the latest changes to the Approved Document E 2003, the minimum and maximum sound insulation requirement for separating floors are as follows:
      

       Conversion

       New Build

    Airborne Sound Reduction DnTw+C;tr

    43dB or greater

    45dB or greater

    Impact Sound Level LnTw

    64dB or less

    62dB or less

    To comply with the requirements of the  Approved Document E 2003, AcoustiBoard-F sound insulated separating floors have been tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-6:1998 and rated in accordance with BS EN ISO 717-2:1997.

    Further improvements can be made by placing 19mm Gypsum based plank over the sub floor before installing the AcoustiBoard-F.
